Vacation Time!!!

Thanks for everyone's sweet comments on the blessing stuff...I'm so loving this blog world and meeting new blog friends:). Well, we're off to one of our favorite places - the beach!! YEA!!! We're so looking forward to feeling the sand beneath our feet, hearing the roar of the waves, smelling the salt-filled air, and spending some time with family (and the above pic from last year is making me so wish I was already there:). We're very much looking forward to introducing Lovebug to it all and seeing what she thinks! So, I'll be taking a break from regular posting but I am going to try to do a scheduled post with a video I wanted to share, so stay tuned for that.

BUT first, here's something I MUST pass along...I heard the other day on a green podcast that alot of white distilled vinegars (especially budget brands) are actually made from petroleum!!!!! YES people, that incredibly awesome clear liquid that does AMAZING things - especially when cleaning (or cooking) - is often made from petroleum...crazy and oh so gross!!! I had never heard that before (had anybody else?)! Of course, I quickly looked at my bottle (Heinz) and it is grain-derived - thank goodness! But check your labels...I saw at Heinz.com that theirs is completely grain-derived, but be careful with other brands...Always learning something new in this green life of mine and I LOVE it :)!!!

So, be back soon and can't wait to hear/see what everyone else has been doing whilst I'm away!

Phew! Mine is made from barley. I thought gosh I better check as all this time I thought I was being really green. I keep trying to avoid as many plastics as I can and then petroleum pops up in vinegar?? Thanks for that I would never have thought of checking that one

I don't use white vinegar anyway, too stinky! I love, love, love, H2O2. Yes, that's hydrogen peroxide. I use it for everything from cleaning fresh produce to cleaning the toilet to killing off fungus and "bad" bugs in garden. Cheers!

Oh no! I use vinegar all the time for cleaning almost everything (still haven't been able to wean myself from the harsh stuff for the bathroom). Thanks for sharing!
