Homemade bread and cider

Well HELLO! It's been downright incredible feeling here this week thus far and we are thoroughly enjoying it. It's been in the mid 50's when we wake up which means our house is blissfully cool and requires socks and a light sweater for a couple hours in the morning, which is a very welcome change! We've been gathering leaves and acorns on walks setting them aside for some fall decor, which will go up once I can bear to take down all our summer remnants. The weather makes me want to bake more for whatever reason, so today I made some whole wheat Italian herb bread especially for my Love, whose been craving it ever since my amazing Mom made it a couple months ago. The bread with a little bit of fall apple cider is perfect! I truly do feel fall in the air and I hope it's here to stay (but this is Texas so it might be 100 degrees next week - who knows!). Hope everyone is enjoying some cooler fall weather though!

Cider, acorns, nip in the air...sounds like fall to me. This season more than any other always makes me wish we lived further north. I miss the excitement in the air that comes with the cooler weather and the anticipation of change. Enjoy your bread. It looks delish!

Hey there! Looks Delish! Your husband is so lucky to have you baking for him especially with the best ingredients you can find:) I saw that Jenny doh posted about Greencraft again, I hope you'll send in your ideas. I think you should write a regular column in the magazing though. You certainly have enough to say & facts to back it up. You conform this apathetic girl on many subjects. Go see!

That picture of bread looks so wholesome and delish.
We always have lovely cool weather, perpetual spring or fall we say, always keep a sweater near by, I love it!
Enjoy your days, it sounds like you do.

We've been enjoying it, too. Cooler temps at this time of year in my neck of the woods is such a rarity!

I was hoping you could share some of your favorite things to do as a family without a tv or comp. I'm preparing for the unplug and want to keep the family having fun so they don't miss it.
Thanks
