Getting ready for the beach...

That's what we're doing this week! We are beyond excited to head on our first real vacation with just the three of us and we're heading to one of our favorite places in the world! I cannot wait to see what Lovebug thinks of it all this year. I know it's going to be alot of fun, but I hope it's relaxing a bit too!

So in preparation, we have been talking alot about it and looking at these new beach books of ours. The ones we have are At The Beach, Beach Day, and another At The Beach (I love the illustrations on this one!).The first one is definitely just for babies/toddlers as it's just a board book, but the other two could be for slighly older children as well. They are all really cute though and are good preparation for beach trips or just the summer season. Lovebug points out and says lots of different things in them now so I think she's ready! :)

What are you and your children's favorite summer/beach books? I'd love to hear any suggestions.

Well, there is still alot of prep work and organization to do this week to get us packed up and ready to actually go, so I better get moving! Have a great day!

No beach stories come to mind . . . We've found that "summer" books that are specific to the season are hard to come by. But we do enjoy gathering up a basket of books that have a "summery" feel in general. Have a fun trip!

I can't think of any beach books off hand, but I wanted to wish a happy holiday! Enjoy your vacation and be sure to take lots of pics (I always love your pictures)!

enjoy your vacation! I've been reading your blog for a bit now, and always like taking a peek at whats happening...we live in New Zealand, which is on the other side of the world to you! We are in winter, but for today at least it was beautiful so down to the beach we went for a picnic....summery books are always fun, ENJOY!
