Spring Antique Weekend '09

I'm writing this ahead of time and scheduling it to post while we're at fall Antique Weekend right now - YEA! :) It's part of the reason why things were so crazy because we were leaving to go out of town (plus other things I'll share later). So as I was eagerly anticipating our upcoming trip I thought I'd look at the photos from our trip back in March...and THEN I realized I never even did my post on our finds, did I? Well that was the beginning of my blog silence really and I just never posted on it...so I thought I would now. Better late than never, right?

We LOVE our antique weekends...I mean really, for us, it's a blast and is so relaxing. We love walking around and searching for cool finds. Love it. Our list of stuff to search for wasn't very big so we ended up with lots of little things which was fun. Lovebug had an awesome time mostly in the jogger but sometimes we wore or carried her. She loved seeing all the people and things...and of course just being outside! :)

Here are some little letter tiles we found. I had to dig through MANY boxes to get the whole alphabet + extras. I have many ideas for these but haven't put them to use just yet...

I loved this little Asian box. So adorable...

Some cute potholders for Lovebug's little kitchen...

We were able to find some pretty vintage dresses and shoes for Lovebug. Funny story is that those shoes are completely different sizes...hah! Yeah, didn't even realize it until we were home. I had a pair just like that when I was little (which I inherited) but these were bigger (one of them:) which excited me...Oh well. I love the Mexican dress which she wore here...

We loved this guy and thought the red was such a beautiful pop of color...

I fell in love with this babywearing Indian gal and the little dancing hulu girl, which are for Lovebug's eventual room...

This is all for Lovebug's future room too. Let's see, a piece of gorgeous fabric I want to turn into a pillow...a beautiful elephant I couldn't resist...and a pillow handmade in Turkey from vintage Central Asian textiles and costumes...

More little bits for Lovebug's someday room...

Cool vintage cars, trucks, etc. for Lovebug. She loves all of these, but I love the surfer van the most :)...

You might recognize these little Japanese fellas from my Easter post...

It's hard for me to pass up vintage hankies, especially if they have crochet edges. I love crochet doilies too...

We got all of these bottle brush trees for such a steal! I had to dig through SO many to get these ones though. I'm hoping to find more colors this trip...

Lastly, here is Lovebug and I at our special stop where we enjoyed a picnic lunch and a little nursing...gosh, it's crazy how much younger she looks here! :)

We really had SUCH an enjoyable trip this last spring and I'm sure we're having an incredible one right now too!! Gosh, I cannot wait! Hopefully the weather is being nice to us and Lovebug is enjoying herself as much as usual. I'll share our finds once we get home...Have a wonderful week!

What fun! I bet I would love that Antique Weekend. Too bad we can't meet up there. :)

Those letter tiles are super cool and super useful for so many purposes. And that little globe is awesome!

I can't wait to see what you find this year...

P.S. What are the prices like at the event?
