Check them out!

Hope your weekends were wonderful! Ours was fabulous but went by way too fast! I actually got to do some crafting which I'll share in another post. It was SO nice out though which meant lots of fun outside playing!

Today I wanted to bring your attention to new ventures that three of my wonderful blog friends have started...

First is the uber talented Jade (aka Chik Austin)...I cannot remember how I first ran across her blog but I was instantly hooked. She's a fellow Texan mama, super sweet, creative, and loves antiquing as much as I do! Anyway, she has started a new project called Craft Hope, which is...a faith-based, love inspired project designed to share handmade crafts with those less fortunate. It is our hope to combine our love for crafting and desire to help others into a project to make a difference around the world.

For instance, the first project is to make pillowcase dresses and shorts for children living in a Brazilian orphanage and a shelter in Mexico. Isn't that wonderful? I think Jade is wonderful, and I'm proud of her and look forward to participating in as many of her projects as I can! OH and she has tutorials up as well here, so no worries on that.

Second is the always inspiring Chrissy (aka Chica Schmica)...I honestly cannot remember how we met either. However, I love to see what Chrissy is doing with her two adorable girls, as she always has something amazing up her sleeve. Well, she recently started One Crafty Place which is a gathering of some of the incredible tutorials, patterns, and ideas that float around blogland. So if you want to be inspired, visit One Crafty Place, and you will find MANY fabulous activities and ideas to do with OR for your children!!! She JUST started it and I've already been inspired many times over, so thank you Chrissy!

Last but certainly not least, my good friend Angela has many exciting things going on right now! We originally met through a swap and am so glad we did, as I have seen her blog and artwork truly flourish and grow into something amazing. She recently wrote an article for Artful Blogging magazine's February issue, so run to your nearest bookstore and check it out! I cannot wait to read it myself! She's one creative mama who makes beautiful art in many different shapes and forms, and always has encouraging words for me that truly make my day.

So, go check out my three gals and what they have going on, okay? Here's to a wonderful week!!!

Small world! My father is a pastor in Casper. We have family in WY, but we're not from WY originally. My parents have lived here for several years though. Maybe we can meet up here someday.

Awww. Thank you SO much! I really want to go learn some more about the pillowcase dresses and shorts. I LOVE that idea and it's so strange because I just got done making a bunch of pouches from old pillowcases and my girls toddler dresses. Of course those bags were inspired by you. I'm always trying to make some kind of creation that would be up to your green standards :) hehe
i HAVE to go comment about the baby gift you guys are giving. That post is just too much for me to handle! Thank you again:)
